‘Phytonutrients’ translates as ‘plant nutrients’. They are natural compounds which are produced by plants to help protect them from threats such a fungi, parasites and the sun. Some common ones include carotenoids, flavonoids, isoflavones, proanthocyanidins, phytoestrogens, and polyphenols. Together with vitamins and minerals, they are able to offer excellent nutritional support for all-round daily wellbeing.
