A DOUBLE AKT

Ed Currie and Andy Coxon are the founders of AKT. Before becoming obsessed with natural deodorant and transportive scents, they were actors. They met in rehearsals for a show on London’s West End — eight shows a week, dancing under hot lights in the same costumes every night. It was intensely physical, and mainstream deodorants just weren’t cutting it. So they decided to create one themselves. After three years of researching and developing, their first product, The Deodorant Balm was like them, BORN TO PERFORM.

Theatre is in their DNA. It’s where they first met, and if it weren’t for the support of their beautiful and talented friends in London’s West End, AKT would still be a side hustle made in their kitchen.
