Terranova Vitamin D3 2000iu Vegan Complex is a unique combination of Vitamin D3 of plant origin (Vitashine D3: the only certified by independent Vegan Society) and a specially designed Magnifood complex including spirulina, shiitake mushroom, pumpkin, coriander and rice bran. The synergistic effect of all components maximises the absorption, bioavailability and hence the efficacy of the products. It is the only vitamin that is produced solely in our bodies, particularly our skin to the effect of sun and UV radiation in the most active form of D3, the cholecalciferol. However, the percentage of subjects with a lack of D3 even in countries with intense sunlight are rising alarmingly. It also is shown to possess activity of the antioxidant enzymes super-oxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase and catalase.
