KSM-66® Ashwagandha Plus provides 500mg of ashwagandha root with Food-Grown® Magnesium to support the body's resilience. Ashwagandha is an exceptional indian herb traditionally used to support the body's resilience to physiological and psychological demand. KSM-66® Ashwagandha provides exceptional quality, organically certified ashwaghandha without the use of solvents or alcohol during the extraction process. Over 11 double -blind, placebo controlled studies have been conducted on KSM-66® and supported its use in anxiety, depression and stress as well as statistically significant improvements in memory, cognition, immunity, sports endurance and recovery as well as promoting libido in both men and women.

"KSM" connotes the name of the geographical region in Rajasthan, India where the organic farms of ashwagandha are located. This is the place where best quality ashwagandha roots are grown/cultivated, rich in phyto-actives. "66" connotes the number of attempts it took in developing this ingredient to its final shape today, in a time-span of 12 years of research and development.

KSM-66 contains >5% withanolides when quantified using HPLC. Therefore, 300 mg of KSM-66 would contain at least 15 mg of withanolides.

Its important to have the correct balance of withanolides. KSM-66's unique 'whole' formulation balances out the plant chemistry, ensuring withanolides content is never in excess.

While ashwagandha is a member of the nightshade (plant) family, the issue with nightshades for some people, is primarily in response to the steroidal lactones withanolides ‘A’. These are found in greater amounts in the leaves rather than the root. Therefore, by using just the root (as we do), there is a lower risk of cross-reactivity. Studies also emphasise the immune- supporting properties of ashwaghandha via cortisol modulation.
