We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying some well deserved rest after a busy season. Before the New Year arrives, we wanted to introduce our Nutrition Programme for the New Year…. The Healthy Weigh!

This is a four week plan with a clear step by step guide on what to include, what to avoid, a full supportive supplement protocol, and lots of useful information to help motivate and encourage you along the ‘weigh’.

Plus, we’ve added options to make the process that little bit more enjoyable and sustainable and to help you create healthy habits that last!

Let’s Start with something a little controversial… a little weight gain is healthy as we age!




This plan is not about demonising weight gain or suggesting to lose the menopausal belly, we have enough of that ultra processed rubbish fed to us on social media and in the press. We want everyone to understand that a little weight gain as we age IS HEALTHY! This is especially true for women who change body shape around menopause. This is not something to battle against as this is our body being very clever and protecting us! As hormone production depletes from the ovaries, the body turns to our fat stores for a little extra hormone production. These fat stores (adipose tissue) take over to help compensate the losses from the ovaries. These hormones produced by this adipose tissue are necessary and this is essential to allow minerals such as calcium to help keep strength in our bones and has neuroprotective effects to protect our cognitive health.

Its nature’s clever protection to keep homeostasis in the body to support our ongoing health. However with societal pressure, the ever growing acceptance and presence of weight loss jabs and social media telling us to get rid of the menopause belly, weight loss has never been so misunderstood. What is important is the type of adipose (fat) tissue. Its the subcutaneous tissue (the bit under our skin) that has the protective effect whilst the visceral adipose tissue (the deeper layer surrounding our organs) that has the negative effect on health overall.

So why are we here to bring you a nutritional programme called The Healthy Weigh? Our plan is structured into options at every stage, giving you flexibility and control. It is not about restriction, just encouraging you to do as much of it as you can, when you can. The plan is designed to last over 4 weeks with further guidance over an additional 4 week period to help maintain and normalise healthy habits that you can take with you even further.

  1. The kick start phase (4 weeks): Focus on reducing pro-inflammatory and visceral fat forming forms.
  2. Metabolic Boost (further 4 weeks): Gradual reintroduction of foods that have been reduced, but in a healthy and positive way.
  3. The Lifetime Tune Up (ongoing): Maintain healthy habits, minimise processed foods, and enjoy balance for life.

This isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress. If you stray, don’t worry. Simply return to the plan when you’re ready.
